Level 1
File Layout and File Resolution:

1.1 Cost - Free
There is no charge for this proof as it will be standard procedure for all digitally printed jobs. The customer may refuse this proof, but a documented sign off will be necessary.

1.2 File Layout
The proof will show the actual layout of the file as it will be when printed. Layout will not change from proof to print. The layout will be reviewed by the customer via an e-mailed PDF. The file will be scaled down enabling the customer to view the full layout. Upon acceptance of the layout, the customer will e-mail approval to the CSR.

1.3 File Resolution
The resolution reflected in the proof will be file quality only and will not reflect the resolution of the print device ( note - resolution of the print device may not be equal to the resolution of the file quality ). This will show if the integrity of the file will hold when blown up to full scale. The file resolution will be reviewed by the customer via an e-mailed PDF (typically the same PDF from 1.2). In most cases the instructions to the customer will be to zoom in on the PDF to 100% to view file resolution. In cases where the file is too large the customer will be sent a PDF of a cropped section of the file saved at 100%. Upon acceptance of the file resolution, the customer will email approval to the CSR.

1.4 Print Device Resolution
Not Applicable

1.5 General Color Theme
The proof will show general colors: red for reds; blues for blue, etc. It will not indicate actual colors. The general color themes will be viewed in the PDF(s) e-mailed to the customer. No approval is necessary.

1.6 Actual Specified Color
Not Applicable

Level 2
Color Match with Machine Output Resolution:

2.1 Cost - $75
The charge for a level 2 proof is $75 and includes one color match. Each additional color match is $40. The customer will be charged for standard ground freight.

2.2 File Layout
Same as 1.2
The proof will show the actual layout of the file as it will be when printed. Layout will not change from proof to print. The layout will be reviewed by the customer via and e-mailed PDF. The file will be scaled down enabling the customer to view the full layout. Upon acceptance of the layout, the customer will e-mail approval to the CSR.

2.3 File Resolution
Same as 1.3
The resolution reflected in the proof will be file quality only and will not reflect the resolution of the print device ( note - resolution of the print device may not be equal to the resolution of the file quality ). This will show if the integrity of the file will hold when blown up to full scale. The file resolution will be reviewed by the customer via an e-mailed PDF (typically the same PDF from 1.2). In most cases the instructions to the customer will be to zoom in on the PDF to 100% to view file resolution. In cases where the file is too large the customer will be sent a PDF of a cropped section of the file saved at 100%. Upon acceptance of the file resolution, the customer will email approval to the CSR.

2.4 Print Device Resolution
The proof will provide an actual press proof printed on the specified material with the actual printing device, laminated and finished. The customer will be sent two 8.5" x 11" sheets in an envelope. Layout and file resolution will be approved as a part of the process in Level 1. Also, in the case of files with multiple colors, a color bar can be printed and sent to the customer.

The proof will be a cropped section of the actual prepressed file at 100% scale. The image will be an actual representation of the resolution from the output device. The customer will notify the CSR of approval of the printed resolution.

2.5 General Color Theme
Not applicable.

2.6 Actual Specified Color
Specifications and sizes are the same as listed in 2.4.

The image will be an actual representation of specified colors. All PMS colors, custom colors, etc will be accurately matched. The customer will notify the CSR of approval of color match.

If there are issues with the color not related to the file or the fault of the customer, Gregory will provide an 8.5" x 11" color adjustment at no charge.

Level 3
File Layout and Resolution with Machine Output Resolution and Color Match

3.1 Cost - $150
The charge for a level 3 proof is $150 and includes one color match. Each additional color match is $40. The customer will cover the cost of freight.

3.2 File Layout
The proof will provide an actual press proof printed on the specified material with the actual printing device, laminated and finished. The size of the print out will be 2.5' x 4'. The proof will consist of a cropped section of the prepressed file at 100% and a scaled down version of the layout. The customer will be sent the full 2.5' x 4' sheet.

The customer will approve the layout based on printed proof.

3.3 File resolution
Specifications and sizes are the same as listed in 3.2.

The customer will approve the file resolution based on the cropped section printed at 100%.

3.4 Print Device Resolution
Specifications and sizes are the same as listed in 3.2.

The customer will approve the resolution of the output device based on the cropped section printed at 100%.

3.5 General Color Theme
Not Applicable

3.6 Actual Specified Color
Specifications and sizes are the same as listed in 3.2.

The customer will approve the color match based on the cropped section printed at 100% as well as the printed layout.

Level 4
FB6100 Rigid Proof

4.1 Cost - $175
The charge for a level 4 rigid proof is $175 and includes one color match. Each additional color match is $40. The customer will cover the cost of freight.

The following materials will be proofed under this policy: Komatex; Foam Core; Coroplast. All other materials requiring a proof will be custom quoted.

In addition, this is for a 4-color proof only. 6-color + white and 8-color proffs will be custom quoted.

4.2 File Layout

4.3 File Resolution

Level 5
True Double Sided Back-lit Proof:

5.1 Cost $175
The charge for a level 5 true double sided backlit proof is $175 and includes one color match. Each additional color match is $40. The customer will cover the cost of freight.

The following materials will be proofed under this policy: Panagraphics III and Ultralon IV. All other materials requiring a proof will be custom quoted.
All specified colors will be matched in backlit mode.

5.2 File Layout
Same as 1.2.
The proof will show the actual layout of the file as it will be when printed. Layout will not change from proof to print. The layout will be reviewed by the customer via an e-mailed PDF. The file will be scaled down enabling the customer to view the full layout. Upon acceptance of the layout, the customer will e-mail approval to the CSR.

5.3 File Resolution
Same as 1.3
The resolution reflected in the proof will be file quality only and will not reflect the resolution of the print device (note - resolution of the print device may not be equal to the resolution of the file quality). Also, in the case of files with multiple colors, a color bar can be printed and sent to the customer.

The proof will be a cropped section of the actual prepressed file at 100% scale. The image will be an actual representation of the resolution from the output device. The customer will notify the CSR of approval of the printed resolution.

5.5 General Color Theme

Color Matching Policy (If no proof is purchased by customer)

Job Value:
$1,000 - $2,000 = First color free; $40 per each additional color
$2,001 - $4,000 = First two colors free; $40 per each additional color
$4,001+ = First three free; $40 per each additional color

Reorders:
Reorders - color matching of a reorder of the same file printed on the same print device using the same material are free.

Customer Information:
Proofs are only kept on file at Gregory for one year (12 months from the date of printing the proof).

Proofs that are done for key customers or projects that may be repeatable will be tagged. After 12 months the customer will be contacted to determine if there is a need to keep the proof for a longer period of time.
